BUiD's Students Participate in Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education’s Summer School 2017 programme in Dundee- Scotland

On 17 July 2017, three of BUiD’s students, Mariam AlaFaridi- PhD Business Management, Ayla Harbor- PhD Computer Science and Reem Al Dhaheri – Doctorate of Education, joined 61 female students from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Malaysia at Al Maktoum College of Higher Education in Dundee – Scotland to attend a leadership-training programme.

In the training, the students were able to study and debate on different topics such as Scottish history and culture, globalisation and multiculturalism, Muslim women and leadership, and presentation plus civilisational dialogue. Students from BUiD participate actively every year  in the College trainings, which are held twice a year.

The closing ceremony which was held on 7 August and was attended by HE Mr Mirza Al-Sayegh, Chairman of the College Board; HE Mr Sulaiman Hamid Almazroui, UAE Ambassador to London; Lord Elder, College Chancellor; Dundee Lord Provost Ian Borthwick and Professor Hossein Godazgar, Principal and Vice Chancellor and Dr. Alaa Ameer Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and IT at BUiD.
