Welcome to the web site of the Dubai Agents & Multi-Agents Systems (DAMAS) Research Group, at the British University in Dubai. The group is affiliated with the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. We conduct theoretical and applied research into Artificial Intelligence (AI) in general, and Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI) in particular. Our expertise ranges from data mining and machine learning, to multi-agent systems and semantic web technologies. We apply our research to a variety of practical domains. These include wireless sensor network coordination, grid computing, electronic commerce, automated negotiation and trade, discourse support, information retrieval, and mobile computing. Our group has strong links with leading international research teams and activities, as evident in joint projects and publications, as well as our participation in leading conferences and events.
