The conference dinner will now take place at one of Dubai's famous central landmarks - Wafi - which provides a unique environment, and has long been a great place for meeting, shopping and eating (http://www.wafi.com/). We have booked a private room from 8pm in Carter's restaurant (http://wafirestaurants.com/internal.asp?OutletID=2), which refers to itself as a 'Dubai institution'. For directions, please check the website. A set menu will be served (see below) inclusive of soft drinks and water, for AED 150 + 10% service charge. Alternative beverages will also be available, but must be purchased individually.

We apologise to those people who had booked to go on the dhow, but unfortunately we did not have enough reservations by the deadline, so had to make alternative arrangements. We now have a party of approximately 30 going to Carter's, and this seems to be a equally interesting alternative - we look forward to seeing you on Thursday night.
