Dr Amer Alaya

Dr. Amer Alaya has a Ph.D. from the British University in Dubai (Enterprise resilience and Operations Fragility). Dr. Alaya has been an assistant professor at the Faculty of Business for the past 5 years. Dr. Alaya is a highly skilled and experienced educator and researcher in the field of enterprise resilience, crisis management, supply chain fragility and risk management.  Prior to his academic career, he worked as a trainer and a consultant, where he helped clients optimize their operations. He is dedicated to helping organizations develop the resilience they need to survive and thrive in an increasingly complex and uncertain global environment.

Dr. Alaya’s research interests include crisis management, risk assessment, operations fragility, and supply chain resilience. He has published several papers in leading academic journals and has presented his work at various conferences. He has also received grants to support his research.

Dr. Alaya has experience teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in crisis management, supply chain risk management, operations management, and innovation and entrepreneurship. He is known for his ability to make complex concepts easy to understand and apply in real-world situations. He also uses interactive teaching methods like case studies, group projects, and industry visits to enhance the learning experience of her students.

Dr. Alaya is an active member of professional associations such as the Institute of Supply Management and strategic Management Society. He also serves as a reviewer for different journals such as Frontiers in Education and Continuity & Resilience Review, and he has been invited to serve as a guest speaker at many industry events.
