Professor Sufian Forawi

Short Bio

Sufian Forawi is currently a professor of science/STEM education at the British University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he coordinates the science/STEM education masters and doctoral programs. Prof. Sufian obtained an EdD in Science Education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Massachusetts, USA. He worked in some of the major USA universities. He received the US Fulbright scholarship award. He is a member of several educational organizations such as the NARST, IEEE, ESERA, etc. He recently co-chaired the International Council of Associations for Science Education conference (ICASE2023). He published a book, Science and Mathematics Education in Multicultural Contexts, from the US Common Ground Publishers. He widely publishes in peer-reviewed journals. He has a strong external grant record, e.g. NSF and Ohio State Department of Education and the Emirates Foundation.
