BUiD’s academic participates in the Future Blockchain Summit 2020
Dr. Maria Papadaki, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business and Law and the Director of Innovation and Risk Management Centre at BUiD, participated in the Future Blockchain summit 2020. Dr. Papadaki was one of the panel members that discussed ‘Blockchain – The end of unearned education’ in a session that was held on 8 December 2020. The discussion covered how blockchain provides accessible information to all concerned and how it is easily verifiable. Each modification is recorded and linked to a previous entry preventing fraudulent data of unearned degrees and qualifications.
The Summit explored how blockchain can enhance cooperation and partnerships between the various government, federal and local entities with international companies and start-ups across sectors.
