BUiD’s academic staff participates in the 9th International Conference on Education (ICEDU 2023)

Dr Emad Abu-Ayyash, Associate Professor of TESOL, participated in the 9th International Conference on Education (ICEDU 2023) which was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 16th to 17th March. In his presentation as a plenary speaker, Dr Abu-Ayyash discussed the history and the evolvement of cohesive devices in discourse analysis research and in teaching and learning. He also highlighted the challenges and the available opportunities for teaching, assessing and researching cohesion in more effective ways.

Five students on the Master of Education programme (Tarek Emaara, Shadi Mousa, Abdelhamid Khalil, Mai Zagheb, and Hadeel Adnan) participated in the 9th International Educational Conference on Education (ICEDU 2023) in Bangkok.

Hadeel Adnan won the Best Poster Presentations award for her presentation, ‘Investigating the readiness of teachers to implement inclusive education effectively in a private school in Sharjah, UAE’.
