BUiD’s alumna contributes a chapter in a book about teaching in a post COVID-19 era

 

BUiD’s alumna, Dr Rania Alayli, contributed a chapter in a  book titled, ‘Teaching in the Post COVID-19 Era: World Education Dilemmas, Teaching Innovations and Solutions in the Age of Crisis’. The book discuses educational technology solutions, curriculum innovations , and sustainability of education in the 21st century crisis events.

In her chapter, Dr Alayli, explores nursing faculty and students’ perceptions of simulation-based education as a way to achieve curriculum outcomes. She indicates in her overall findings that simulation provides (1) training in clinical skills and procedures; (2) practice in a safe environment; and (3) development of student nurses’ clinical judgment, confidence, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
