BUiD’s Dean of Education is selected as a member to join the Global Center for Inclusion in Education Research Collaborative
Professor Eman Gaad, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, was selected to join as a member the Global Center for Inclusion in Education Research Collaborative. Professor Gaad will be joining in October 2022 to share her expertise to drive the global research agenda and conversation on inclusion.
The Collaborative is a new initiative of the Special Olympics’ Global Center of Inclusion in Education that brings together diverse scholars and athletes to further an inclusive research agenda.
The Collaborative aspires to build on the robust evidence emerging from research to build Special Olympics’ knowledge base for understanding the transformative power that high-quality inclusive sport and education programming can have on the lives of youth with and without intellectual disabilities.
Collaborative members will convene three to four times per year to showcase their research and experience. Members will be able to contribute to the Centre’s publication strategy by authoring short, accessible briefs that help close the gap between research, policy, and practice.
