BUiD’s Dean of Education speaks about equity and inclusion at Monash University
Professor Eman Gaad, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, participated in the ‘Role of Human Rights in Disability Research, Practice, in Policy’ discussion which was organised on 16 February 2023 by the Faculty of Education at Monash University in Australia. She was one of the panellists discussing equity and inclusion across the globe and the ways to bridge gaps between theory and practice .
The event, brought together people from around the world to discuss new and innovative ways to ensure that the rights of people with disability are centred in disability research, practice, and policy in Australia. It also featured a series of lightning talks, panel discussions and interactive activities to brainstorm new ways to support the inclusion and participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of education, recreation, and social and political life.
