Dean of Education speaks at the virtual symposium organised by Sultan Qaboos University
Professor Eman Gaad, Dean of the Faculty of Education, was a guest speaker at the virtual symposium on: “Responding to the learning needs of students with disabilities during COVID-19 pandemic: Opportunities and Threats”.
The symposium was organised by Sultan Qaboos University on 21 April 2021. Professor Eman discussed the issues related to the differentiation of instructions for learners with disabilities and how to overcome the barriers and issues facing their learning process. Professor Eman has extensive experience in supporting and training families and workers in the field of social development. She works with local communities to help parents of children with special needs to facilitate their placement in regular schools.
The Symposium aimed to highlight the challenges and opportunities which COVID 19 has posed to the education of students with disabilities.
