About PDEC

The British University in Dubai’s Professional Development and Examinations Centre (PDEC) assists people who want to enrol in short-term or ongoing educational programs, supporting continued education and lifelong learning.

 

The University saw a rising need in the market in 2006 for people looking to further their education, obtain professional certifications, and pick up new skills that might not fall under their purview of core competences. As a result, PDEC was created. In order to provide organizational training, we have also formed relationships with governmental and non-governmental institutions and organizations across the UAE and GCC.  In a highly competitive employment and business environment, PDEC offers globally recognized, industry-relevant courses that allow both students and employees to demonstrate their skills in the workplace in addition to earning a certification.

 

At PDEC we oversee over 40 training courses, some are accredited qualifications from International Bodies such as the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), Global Innovation Institute (GINI), SIEMENS and more. Some courses are professional qualifications that support lifelong learning and skills enhancement.

 

Furthermore, we oversee IELTS, TOEFL, Community Development Authority (CDA) exams as well as proctor exams for students from 15 online or distance learning institutions from across the world.
