Short Bio

Dr. Hend ElMohandes obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Ain Shams University, Faculty of Engineering in Egypt and also received her Master’s degree from Nile University in collaboration with Fraunhofer Research Institute (IBMT) in Germany, after spending 7 months in Sankt Ingbert working in their labs.

Dr. Hend ElMohandes holds a PhD from Heriot-Watt University, awarded through the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (MACS). Her research expertise lies in Artificial Intelligence and its real-world applications, with a particular focus on biomedical engineering and prosthetic control systems.

Her work explores the use of electromyography (EMG) signals in developing intelligent systems for human–machine interaction, contributing to advancements in assistive technologies and rehabilitation solutions.
