BSc Computer Science Students showcase their cybersecurity group projects

Second Year students on the BSc Computer Science (AI) programme showcased their group projects for the Introduction to Cybersecurity module led by Dr Suleiman Yerima, Associate Professor of Cybersecuity at BUiD.

The open poster session was organised to facilitate wider knowledge sharing within the campus, aiming to increase understanding and awareness of cybersecurity threats and their impact on the safety and security of our digital world.

The students showcased their technical investigation of a variety of well-known cyber threats such as social engineering, backdoors, reverse shells, brute-force cracking, data exposure, man-in-the-middle, and denial of service.

These were presented to visitors using demonstrators that each group had built to provide a safe and secure platform to simulate various techniques used by threat actors in the real-world.
