BUiD Academic contributes to the 29th International TESOL Conferences
Dr. Tendai Charles contributed to the 29th International TESOL Conferences (previously TESOL Arabia) held at the University of Sharjah from 18th – 20th April 2025. Firstly, in collaboration with Kasia Truszkowska, Dr. Charles delivered a pre-conference workshop titled “AI in academic writing and research”. Secondly, he contributed to a panel discussion on the topic “Creating a thriving practice among language educators”. Thirdly, he delivered the event’s closing plenary speech, titled “How to prevent ESL students from cheating with AI”. With 29 years of experience and over 400 registered attendees, this is the region’s largest and most prestigious annual TESOL conference.
