BUiD celebrates its fourteenth cohort of Masters and PhD graduates

Under the Chancellorship of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, CEO and Chairman of the Emirates Group, The British University in Dubai celebrated the graduation of its 14^th cohort of doctoral and Masters graduates at the Cultural and Scientific Association. The Ceremony was attended by His Excellency Andrew Jackson, Her Majesty’s Consul General of the British Embassy in Dubai, Dr. Nasser bin Ali Aljahouri, the Omani Cultural Attaché to the UAE,  the University’s Council members, representatives of its UK University Alliance, academic and administrative staff, and family and friends of the graduates. During the ceremony, the University recognised Mohammad Hammad, Chief Executive Officer of Al Sahel Contracting (Al Nabooda Group), for their collaboration with BUiD.

The University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullah Alshamsi, congratulated the graduates and their families and added: “We are very proud to see our students graduate today and join the growing community of our alumni. The University has secured its place as the leading research-based institution in the region and has grown and expanded throughout the years, thanks to the Government of Dubai and the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and their continued support and contribution to the success of the University. Today we are happy to announce the upcoming construction of our own permanent campus in Dubai International Academic City. This will be another milestone in the history of our University, under the valuable guidance of all our Council members led by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. We are especially grateful for the ongoing commitment of our Founders, Contributors and our UK Universities Alliance.”
