BUiD conducts a webinar on Teacher Well-being During COVID 19
The British University in Dubai (BUiD) conducted a series of webinars on different topics. The first webinar, Teacher Well-being During COVID 19 was conducted on 22 November by Dr. Christopher Hill, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education.
In the Webinar, Dr Christopher and Shehla Arif , BUiD’s student, introduced a recent research project conducted at BUiD, looking into the challenges faced by teachers during COVID-19 and identifying areas where more support is needed. The webinar discussed what is meant by Well-being, outlined some key international findings about current and previous levels of support; and provided a forum for discussion and sharing of experiences.
Teacher Wellbeing is an increasingly relevant topic that requires increased discussion and awareness. The recent pandemic has more fully brought to light the need to consider the well-being and mental health of teachers and to provide institutional understanding and support accordingly.
