BUiD’s Professor ranked among the top 2% of researchers worldwide

In a recent study published by Stanford University, Professor Stephen Wilkins, Head of Graduate Programmes in Business Management at The British University in Dubai, was ranked among the top 2% of researchers worldwide. Looking at several indicators, the study analysed citation data obtained from the well-known Scopus database. To date, this was one of the most comprehensive evaluations of researcher impact conducted.

 

 

Last year, in the UAE, Professor Stephen was the third most highly cited author in the marketing field. Although Professor Stephen teaches in the Faculty of Business & Law, much of his work is concerned with management and marketing in higher education, resulting in many of his publications being classified as education research. Among all education researchers in the UAE, Professor Stephen was ranked second for citation impact.

 

 

Professor Stephen’s work has been published in marketing journals such as the Journal of Business Research, International Marketing Review, European Journal of Marketing and Journal of Strategic Marketing, and higher education journals such as Studies in Higher Education and Journal of Studies in International Education. He currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Strategic Marketing and the Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management. He is director of studies for 10 PhD students.
