BUiD Registrar and Chief Administrative Officer judges the finals of the Tatawwar Competition 2020 and is selected as a panellist on a roundtable discussion
On 14 May 2020, Hugh Martin, Registrar and Chief Administrative Officer, participated in the second roundtable discussion about the Future of Learning, as part of the Tatawwar competition. Hugh was a judge on behalf of BUiD at the semifinals and the finals of the competition. The prize giving ceremony, which was held on 9 May, was streamed live across the Gulf and Maghreb nations, with the six winners coming from the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, and Oman.
The first roundtable followed the semifinals in February and the second roundtable followed the finalists’ presentations. The roundtable discussed the need for change in education for future generations and the opportunities and risks associated with change.

The Tatawwar interactive programme is organised by HSBC in partnership with potential.com. The programme aims to bring together students, schools, parents and the business community from across the Arab-speaking world to help innovate for a shared future. It also provides 15-18 year olds with the opportunity to learn new business skills.
