BUiD supports the Intercontinental Spelling Bee 2022 as the academic partner

BUiD is an academic partner of the Intercontinental Spelling Bee (ICSB) and has been supporting since 2021. The finals of ICSB were attended by School students from across Africa at the Al Khoory Sky Garden Hotel in Dubai on Saturday 1 October 2022. There were attendees from Sierra Leone (as well as Ghana, South Africa, and the UAE).

Hugh Martin FRSA, Registrar and Chief Administrative Officer led the judging panel and gave out the awards, along with Danielle Wilson-Gulston, Teaching & Training Associate who gave a motivational speech and Sepideh Samadi, Senior Careers Advisor who organised fun team building activities for the students. As a token of appreciation, Girija Padhy, Director of the ICBS, presented Hugh with a trophy thanking BUiD for its partnership.
