BUiD’s doctoral students present at the 15th International Conference on ICT Convergence (ICTC)

Two of BUiD students, Loubna Saad Saoud, a student on the PhD in Business Management programme and Ali Abu Romman q student on the PhD in Computer Science programme presented their paper titled, ‘AI-powered chatbots in the telecommunications industry in the UAE: Studying the factors impacting consumer adoption’ at the15th International Conference on ICT Convergence (ICTC) in South Korea.

Their paper investigated the factors that influence the adoption process and consumers’ desire to use chatbots in telecommunication services by studying the interaction between humans and chatbots.

The conference was organised by KICS with the technical co-sponsorship of IEEE Communications Society and IEICE Communications Society. The ICTC is a unique global premier event for researchers, industry professionals, and academics interested in the latest developments in the emerging industrial convergence centred around the ICT.
