Dean of Business and Law speaks at the annual conference of the International Construction Law Association 2025

Professor Aymen Masadeh, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, participated as a speaker at the annual conference of the International Construction Law Association, held in Cape Town, South Africa, on 8–9 April 2025. His presentation centered on the use of international standard construction contracts and their implementation within local legal systems.

The conference, themed “Revealing the Foundation of Modern Project Success: Contracts as Tools for Modernising Collaboration and Resolving Conflict,” highlighted the critical role of contracts in promoting effective collaboration and managing disputes in the construction industry. Core topics included the application of standard contract forms across diverse legal contexts, comparisons between traditional and modern project delivery models, and the evaluation of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in contrast to more conventional approaches to dispute resolution.
