PhD thesis defence conducted completely online for the first time at BUiD
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak and in line with the UAE Ministry of Education directives, BUiD is operating entirely online using up-to-date distance and online learning platforms to support our students.
Joe Hazzam, studying for a PhD in Business Management, successfully passed his thesis defence in a viva voce exam which was held entirely online earlier today. He defended his thesis via video conference with internal and external examiners in the UAE and the United Kingdom. In his thesis, Joe explained the nature and development of international marketing capabilities in the digital age. He also examined the contribution of static, dynamic, and adaptive marketing capabilities on company performance under low and high levels of market turbulence.
BUiD has scheduled more viva voce exams to be conducted online in April – we wish all of our students success in them.
