Professor Eman Gaad contributes a chapter in a book about education in the UAE
Prof. Eman Gaad, Dean of the Faculty of Education, wrote a chapter in “Education in the United Arab Emirates – Innovation and Transformation” published by Springer. The book overviews education in the UAE and addresses innovations and transformations in Early Childhood Education, Higher Education, K-12 Schooling, Language Education in Arabic and English, Quality Assurance, Special Needs, STEM Education, and Teacher Education and Professional Development.
In her chapter, Educating Learners with Special Needs and Disabilities in the UAE: Reform and Innovation, Prof. Eman overviews the status of inclusive education and the initiatives taken by UAE to support inclusion. She also explores the challenges facing reform in the education system.
