 SHORT BIO:

Dr Ashmiza Mahamed Ismail is an Associate Professor of Management and Head of Programme for the MBA at the British University in Dubai (BUiD). She has over 25 years of international experience across the UK, Malaysia, and the UAE. Dr Ashmiza is a Chartered Manager (CMgr) with the Chartered Management Institute (UK), a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA), and a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE).

Dr Ashmiza is both an author and academic researcher. Her work focuses on leadership, organisational behaviour, diversity and inclusion, and qualitative research. She has extensive experience in curriculum design and development and in delivering programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, including professional development and vocational training. She supervises doctoral students and serves as an internal and external examiner for doctoral viva examinations, contributing to the development and quality assurance of research training and scholarly work.

Dr Ashmiza is also a keynote speaker and TEDx alumna, specialising in leadership and helping leaders in corporate, academic, and public sectors build resilient cultures, lead with empathy, and navigate change confidently. She also serves as an External Examiner for UK universities, including Coventry University London and the University of West London, supporting high academic standards and quality across institutions.
