Short Bio

Dr Christina Lienen is an Oxford educated public law academic, barrister and accredited mediator.

Her academic work focuses on constitutional frameworks and rights, judicial reasoning, public law principles and critical socio-legal studies. She previously taught at leading UK universities, including University College London (UCL) and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Her work has been published in renowned practitioners’ books and peer-reviewed academic journals, and she has presented her work at multiple leading international conferences.

Dr Lienen’s legal practice at the English Bar in London focused on public law, social care law, equality law, data protection and privacy law and planning law. She also worked for public authorities, having previously been seconded to an in-house legal team at a London council, focusing on judicial reviews, adult social care law and human rights. She remains affiliated with her chambers – Cornerstone Barristers – as an Associate Member.
