Professor Abdulai Abukari

Short Bio

Prof Abdulai Abukari is currently Professor, Education Management, Leadership and Policy, a Visiting Fellow at the University of Glasgow and Coordinator of a number of modules in the Faculty of Education at the British University in Dubai (BUiD). Prof. Abdulai Abukari completed his PhD in Comparative and International Education at Middlesex University and Master of Philosophy at the University of Oslo in the same discipline. He specialises in Comparative and International Education (Policy, Leadership and Management); Quality Assurance in education particularly higher education; Workplace Learning and Teacher Education. Before joining BUiD, he worked for Middlesex University in different capacities for over ten years with at least the last five years as a senior lecturer and a programme leader for undergraduate and postgraduate professional development programmes at the Institute for Work Based Learning (IWBL). He also taught at different levels of educational systems including Key stage 2 (UK), Teacher training college and Senior high school (Ghana).
