  2. A general overview of international arbitration.
  3. A spotlight on arbitration options available in the UAE.
  4. Practical tips on advocacy in international arbitration, covering both written and oral aspects.
  5. Students will work through a mock case, applying the newly acquired skills and information.

   Nawal Hend

Nawal Hend is an international dispute resolution lawyer with expertise in construction, commercial, and state-investor arbitration. She has worked with leading global law firms, including DLA Piper in Doha, Freshfields in Dubai, and Herbert Smith Freehills in New York. Nawal holds law degrees from prestigious institutions, including Pennsylvania State University and Harvard Law School. She has taught International Commercial Arbitration at Jindal Global University, India’s top-ranked law school and is the founder of “Arbitration Academia,” a professional community that brings together arbitrators, academics, experts, and lawyers.
