Learning Outcomes

Knowledge            

— Appraise theoretical and practical techniques for research and advanced academic enquiry in project management.

— Conceptualise, design and implement a project for the generation of new knowledge, applications or understanding at the forefront of the discipline, and to adjust the project design in the light of unforeseen problems.

— A systematic acquisition and appraisal of a substantial body of knowledge which is at the forefront of the academic discipline or area of professional practice in project management.

— Master the creation and interpretation of new knowledge, through original research or other advanced scholarship, of a quality to satisfy peer review, extend the forefront of the discipline of project management, and merit publication.

Skills

— Interpret and critically evaluate and create new knowledge through research and/or scholarship of publishable quality to satisfy peer review and merit publication

— Able to formulate independently and proactively research plans, ideas and hypotheses and to design, develop, implement and execute plans by which to evaluate these.
