About RISE

Research Initiatives for Society & Enterprise (RISE) is a multidisciplinary research cluster hosted by the Business Management Department at BUiD. RISE focuses on understanding how enterprises contribute to sustainable, responsible, and inclusive societal development.

The cluster brings together scholars from different disciplines to address contemporary challenges at the intersection of business, society, policy, and innovation. Through a strong emphasis on both academic rigour and real-world impact, RISE aims to generate research that informs practice, supports policy, and advances knowledge.

RISE serves as a collaborative platform for faculty and doctoral researchers to develop projects, share insights, and engage with external academic and industry communities.

Mission

RISE aims to advance rigorous, impactful research that enhances understanding of how enterprises shape sustainable, responsible, and inclusive societal outcomes. The cluster is committed to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening doctoral research capacity, and translating academic knowledge into meaningful engagement with industry, policy, and society.
