Bachelor of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering

Within three to five years of graduation, graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering programme are expected to:

PEO 1 – Professional Engineering Practice
Establish successful careers in electro-mechanical engineering and related fields by applying multidisciplinary knowledge and practical engineering skills to analyse, design, develop, integrate, operate, maintain, and improve complex electro-mechanical systems.

PEO 2 – Industry-Relevant Engineering Solutions
Develop and implement effective engineering solutions that address the needs of industry and society while considering technical performance, safety, reliability, quality, economic feasibility, sustainability, and applicable professional standards.

PEO 3 – Innovation and Technological Adaptability
Contribute to innovation and technological advancement by applying engineering modeling and simulation, emerging tools, digital technologies, automation, intelligent systems, and modern engineering practices to analyze, optimize, and improve products, processes, systems, and services.

PEO 4 – Professional Growth and Lifelong Learning
Advance professionally through continuing professional development, advanced study, professional certification, research, entrepreneurship, or self-directed learning, enabling them to remain technically current and adapt to rapidly evolving technologies and professional practices.

PEO 5 – Leadership, Communication, and Collaborative Practice
Perform effectively as independent professionals and as members or leaders of multidisciplinary and multicultural teams by demonstrating initiative, accountability, effective communication, sound judgement, project responsibility, and collaborative problem-solving.

PEO 6 – Ethical, Sustainable, and Socially Responsible Practice
Demonstrate integrity, professional ethics, social responsibility, and respect for cultural diversity while considering the environmental, economic, societal, and global implications of engineering decisions and contributing positively to their organisations and communities.
