Office of Quality and Institutional Effectiveness

The Office of Quality and Institutional Effectiveness (OQIE) contributes towards improving BUiD’s performance in all areas of administration and academia. The Office coordinates programme accreditation, policy governance and institutional research activities to encourage continuous assessment and improvement of the University’s academic programs and administrative services. The OQIE collects, analyses and disseminates a variety of data and reports on all aspects of BUiD’s effectiveness as an institution, for the perusal of the Executive Office, University Council, Associate UK Universities and regulatory bodies such as the Ministry Of Education and KHDA.

Maria joined BUiD in 2006 as Student Services Assistant and was promoted to Institutional Research Administrator in 2009. She was promoted as  Head of Institutional Effectiveness in 2016.  She is responsible for implementing the Institutional Effectiveness activities that ensures systematic and continuous evaluation of the quality of programs and its academic, student, and administrative services. This will include activities including but not limited to collection, analysis and dissemination of a variety of data and reports on institutional effectiveness, responding to information requests from internal and external constituents. She is also responsible for all the coordination and communication with accreditation and licensure bodies.

 

Naglaa Ghonim

Naglaa obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Tanta University, Egypt in 2007 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ajman University in 2020. She previously worked at the University of Science and Technology of Fujairah (the former campus of Ajman University) as a coordinator for the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Research and Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. She has more than 10 years’ experience in Higher Education project management, which included responsibility for the proposal and implementation of projects and strategic planning..

Muna obtained a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Ajman University of Science & Technology. She is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from Rochester Institute of Technology – Dubai. She worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Sharjah and then joined the University of Science and Technology of Fujairah as a member of the Administrative Staff.
