Dr. Charles teaches on both the Masters of Education and Doctor of Education programmes offered by the Faculty of Education. The modules he delivers are focused on concepts pertaining to innovation in curriculum design, contemporary teaching methods, and authentic assessment techniques that are valid and reliable measures of learning. As a proponent of David Kolb’s (1984) Experiential Learning Theory, Dr. Charles engages students in concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualisation, and active experimentation. He also supervises postgraduate research projects on topics related to technology-enhanced learning, second language acquisition, or educational leadership, while guiding students on the use of advanced statistical techniques.
