BUiD academic staff co- publishes a research paper in the Expert Systems with Applications Journal

Dr Nahia Mourad, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, co- published a research paper with a group of researchers titled, ‘Normal wiggly hesitant fuzzy modelling approach for 6G frameworks based blockchain technology’ in in the Expert Systems with Applications journal.

This study introduces an intelligent approach to evaluate blockchain technology in sixth-generation (6G) networks using fuzzy weighted zero inconsistency (FWZIC), based on normal wiggly hesitant fuzzy set (NWHFS), and functional mapping of criterion sub-intervals into a single interval (RAFSI) method.

Results show that the decentralisation feature (Dec) is important in modelling 6G frameworks, while the non-repudiation feature (NR) has moderate importance. ERLLC/eURLLC and LDHMC models perform well, while ELPC and HATC are least favoured.
